Specialist doctor for neurology
The position is available in the German state of Rhineland-Pfalz. Situated in western Germany the state borders Nordrhein-Westfalen, Hessen, Baden-Württemberg, Saarland, and has international borders with France Luxembourg and Belgium. The position is available in a big city.
The position is available in a therapy center and a policlinic which provides a combination of day-care and outpatient medical care. Both centers specialize on the treatment of the neurological diseases and chronic pain. The Therapy Centre treats patients in the Phase C and D of neurological rehabilitation. The policlinic provides neurological diagnosis and therapy.
The Center for Rehabilitation offers the form of semi-hospital care. Patients receive 5 days a week an intense and comprehensive treatment program. In the evening and on weekends the patients have the opportunity their "free time" to make as they want and are not tied to a clinic site. Experience has shown that patients appreciate this very rehab mold especially since they are either in their family, with friends or by themselves in a "non-clinical" environment.
The focal points of the centers are:
- Rehabilitation of neurological diseases for example: stroke episodes, dementia, Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis
- Rehabilitation of chronic pain disorders
- orthopedic and trauma rehabilitation
- psychotraumatological rehabilitation
- Polytrauma (multiple illnesses, both physically and mentally)
- Somatoform pain disorders
The centers provide pain relive treatments in the following cases:
- back pain
- Post-traumatic pain
- Sudeck's disease
- Traumatic Brain Injury
- Neuropathic pain
The following types of neurological disease are treated in the center:
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Other inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system
- Parkinson's disease
- muscle diseases
- Peripheral nerve damage
- Neuropsychological syndromes
The form of work required is full time. No overtime work is needed. For the balance between personal and professional life you benefit of 29 days of leave/year.
- Specialist doctor for neurology
- Graduate from a Medical School within the European Union + Norway, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Iceland.
- Required German language level: C1
- Capable of handling MS-Office
- Conceptual and analytical thinking and way of working
- Enjoys personal contact with patients
- Has good team-work and communication skills
