Príbehy o úspechu: Dr. Maximilian Niculescu
Mr. Maximilian Niculescu took part to the interviews organized in April 2008. As he had planned a holiday in Europe two weeks after the interview, he asked us to programme interviews with the potential employers by the time he was in Germany. We managed to comply with his request and he was accepted by a clinic in Rheinland Pfalz placed in the immediate proximity of the Nürburgring circuit, as a resident doctor in general surgery. Due to the fact that Mr. Niculescu’s wife was pregnant she was offered to give birth to her child in the same clinic and she was proposed to work as a resident doctor in gynaecology after the maternity leave.
Below you can read the testimony of Mr.Niculescu:
I could summarize our impression about Germany, about the new work place and implicitly about the collaboration with EGV Recruiting by telling that we are very happy having the chance to meet you and to get here.
From the very beginning it seemed to me that the so-called coolness of German people is in the case of the town where we live as false as possible.
All my colleagues were and are very understanding and helped us very much to make our accommodation to the “new world” easier. Even if some administrative formal procedures had to be carried out both at the work place and at the registration as a foreign citizen, things have always been moving very fast and the hospital’s management was always understanding when we needed time to go to the town hall.
The hospital where I work is a small one, having only surgery and internal medicine departments, but the variety of cases is enough for the beginning. Concerning the equipment, I could say that the only thing missing is the department of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), besides we have everything we need in order to diagnose quickly and properly the patients. My German colleagues gave me from the very beginning, but gradually, different responsibilities. And what seemed to me very important was the fact that they placed always confidence in me.
I don’t know whether everywhere in Germany is the same, probably in the bigger clinics and with more cases it is more difficult at the beginning, taking into account the poor knowledge of the language and sometimes, just as in my case, the lack of experience, but I am very content and convinced that such a beginning could not lead but to a successful career in this country, without concerning all the time about money or about the treatment of patients without the proper instruments for the diagnosis.
Thank you,
Maximilian Niculescu
