Priče o uspjehu
Priče o uspjehu: Dr. Denisa Babeanu
Hello everybody,
I would like to start by being grateful to EGV agency for sustaining my first steps towards my new career in Germany.
In December 2009 I contacted the EGV Recruiting agency and I expressed my wish of working in Germany. At that time I possessed no German language knowledge. In March, after an ambitious effort of learning by myself this language, I've cleared the Goethe Institute's test sent from the agency and we started planning the further steps.
In August I went to Germany to take part at an intensive German language course. At the end of the month I went to two job interviews, both for Cardiology. After two weeks a contract has been sent to me to be signed. The job as an intern cardiologist was assured.
I must specify that I already worked in Romania as an intern cardiologist for two years and my grievance was to follow in Germany the same specialization.
The beginning was very difficult, as the German health system is different in comparison with the Romanian one, it requires from you practically, from the start, to either keep up with it, or leave it. I think anyone who is well motivated and knows the language can have here a successful career as a doctor.
The colleagues and the superiors have had patience with me, have shown me all the steps I had to follow, were interested in integrating me as part of the team and they displayed all their trust in me. After two weeks there, I was responsible by myself for two wards of patients, which I've had to take care of, not only from the medical therapy aspect, but also from the social one.
The cardiology department has to its disposal a CPU ward, the second most important one in Saarland, two cath-laboratories, where are operating coronary catheterisations, ICD/ICD-CRT and PM implantations.
Now, I found myself in the second year of specialization, I am satisfied with the level I've reached which consists in the acquired skills, integration in a well compacted team, self-esteem, confidence from patients side as well from the medical personnel's. The remuneration allows me to fulfill almost all my wishes.
It's worth!
If a while ago I was on that side of reading all these success stories, now I know it is true, I am also a small part of them now! I recommend all of you to trust yourself and to work hard, in order to make your dreams come true. One day you will ask yourself why you didn't do it earlier!
Thank you EGV for your trust and help!
With regards,
Dr. Denisa Babeanu
