The position is available in the German state of Baden Wurttemberg, the third largest German state in both terms of area and population. 

 

The hospital in which the position is available is a center focused on neurological rehabilitation for all phases offering acute care and early rehabilitation. 

 

The center handles the whole neurological spectrum of acute neurological diseases such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, spinal disorders, inflammatory diseases of the nervous system, diseases of the spinal cord, diseases of the peripheral nervous system, neurological pain syndromes, brain tumors, having a 24 hour intake capability and imagistic testing possibilities such as CT and MRI.  

 

The center also handles the whole spectrum of neurological rehabilitation and early rehabilitation. The hospital focuses on early rehabilitation treating chases such as: 

• Traumatic brain injury

• Stroke

• Brain tumors

• Multiple sclerosis

• Extrapyramidal disorders

• Degenerative diseases of the nervous system

• Epilepsy

• Spinal cord diseases

• Disorders of the peripheral nervous system

• Neurological pain syndromes

 

The center is very well equipped, offering a wide scale of diagnostic procedures:

• 3 Tesla MRI

• CT

• Neurophysiology

• Neurosonology 

• Laboratory investigations

• Clinical physiology with EKG, Ergometrie, abdominal sonography 

• Bronchoscopy  and video endoscopic swallowing diagnostic

• Polysomnography 

• Neuropsychological diagnosis

• Diagnosis of functional physical limitations

 

The hospital is currently looking for a resident doctor for neurology. The form of work required is full time. This is rewarded with a gross salary starting from 3700 Euro/Month + substantial overtime pay. For the balance between personal and professional life you benefit of 26 days of leave/year.

 

Ideal candidate:

• Human Medicine Doctor

• Graduate from a Medical School within the European Union + Norway, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Iceland.

• Required German language level: Good-Advanced
